Walmart Year Beginning Meeting

At the start of every year, the world’s largest retailer gathers its 6,500 North American Store Managers to review strategy, showcase and discuss products, highlight opportunities, share the direction behind upcoming advertising and promotional efforts, and motivate and inspire them to reenergize their stores. Drury helped Walmart organize and develop content and messaging, applying a wide variety of media and live elements and formats. Walmart’s primary initiative was to “put this year’s merchandise at the center of it all,” and Drury succeeded by rigging the entire massive stage set so that on cue, it completely “flew away,” revealing the merchandise – in the form of a fully-stocked, 275,000 square foot Walmart store. The entire audience poured across the stage and into the store for an extraordinary experience that immersed the audience in the Walmart brand like never before.
