IBM’s Global Events and Conferences Team needed a Watson-driven activation that demonstrated the power of Watson cognitive analytics at the 2016 World of Watson conference. A unique activation that puts attendees at the center of their very own custom animated infographic video powered by Watson API’s. After a brief introduction with a brand ambassador, attendees were guided through an interactive experience with Watson via iPad and green screen. They simply entered their email & Twitter handle, answered two, open-ended questions, chose a custom background, and had their photo taken against the green screen. Their personalized infographic animation was ready immediately, allowing social sharing while still in the booth. Nearby monitors showed the latest creations to entice others to engage.
In just three days, more than 300 people created and shared their Watson-driven infographic. Each shared their creation, as well as links that continued the story via the Watson Developer Cloud site, promoting awareness of the array of cognitive API’s used in the experience.
