To produce the world’s first VR360 film competition by tapping into the fresh perspective of young talent at two of the world’s top film schools, NYU and Rhode Island School of Design. Working with the state of the art camera company, 360fly, Drury received twenty VR cameras donated to NYU Tisch School of the Arts and the Rhode Island School of Design and subsequently ran tutorial sessions at the collages, enticing hundreds of students to collaborate and create out of this world films. Across two screens at the schools, hundreds of attendees were able to experience submitted films on top-of-the-line VR headsets provided by contest sponsor Samsung. Many of the submitted films are also viewed  via Drury’s YouTube Channel. Amassing to thousands of views over the 3 week period. The top film winners in each of the four categories received $500 plus a new 4K 360fly camera. The students took this medium in directions we never could have anticipated. They produced thought-provoking, inspiring work that set the stage for VR’s impact on the art world
