Do you remember those essays we did the first week back at school? The question was always, What did you do this summer? Of course there had been reading lists and projects our teachers had given us, but in between, we made sure to get our required fun in … picnics, beach days, road trips, sunburns and campfires!
At Drury, summer isn’t much different — lots of fun, mixed in with work that inspires us. But this year, to kick off our 35 year celebration of Drury, we actually did go back to school as well!
The entire team worked together to produce Drury Summer School — a full day of learning programs. Eve gave a presentation on Linkedin, we got an overview of creative pitches from Fallon, an overview of how to create a cognitive meeting from Chris, and a demo on 360VR from Evan, along with many more workshops. In between we devoured summer in the form of ice cream and a Mexican fiesta. There was even an adult coloring mural featuring the highlights of Drury’s 35 years!
In short, this was one time we had a brilliant answer to the question, “What did you do this summer?”
