Drury’s mission was to introduce a new mod from Google called Q Craft through a custom-designed booth at Minecon in Orlando, Florida.
Our design was non-linear, encouraging kids to choose their own way into the exhibit in an explorative fashion. A “creative sandbox” offered a hands-on, heads-down area in which the kids could try their hand at the Mod. We showcased a video gallery of adventures from real players, as well as Best Practice videos that Google created and an info area where an expert answered attendee’s questions and introduced them to new tools and techniques. Physics students and professors from Cal Tech that aided in developing the mod were also present at the booth to share their experience/ knowledge. Our booth was the most visited overall with over 30,000 visitors!
