Well before Covid, NetApp wanted to shift their INSIGHT event from a live event in Las Vegas to an all-digital experience. Covid pushed the discussion quickly from digital-first to ALL DIGITAL.
The entire event was hosted on our very own Drury Engagement Platform. This allowed us to customize and control everything about the event in terms of how everything was branded, how everything interacted, and how the message to our guests was translated. The engagement portion of our platform was a big success and the metrics exceeded expectations.
The Ask
Reimagine INSIGHT, NetApp’s premiere customer, partner and employee event, as a global all- digital experience.
The Solution
Built as a series of short focused segments, the simu-live broadcast was designed with on-line audiences in mind. We featured some of the biggest names in tech leadership, and great information about NetApp’s latest technology and offerings...all in a fast-paced totally engaging all-digital program. Mixed with a variety of on-demand content and an engagement platform, the 4-day global show had something for everyone.
Drury delivered a digital event designed and built with a 100% digital experience. Together with the NetApp teams, we worked remotely to put the entire program together with the trust to deliver on all fronts.

The Process
Custom Platform
The entire event was hosted on our very own Drury Engagement Platform. Insight 2020 saw a 50% increase of unique attendees in all major in-person INSIGHT events in 2019 & 2020, a 38% increase in customer attendance in all major in-person INSIGHT events in 2019 & 2020, 20K Keynote attendees in 4 days, and an 89% approval percentage.
Gamification
The engagement portion of our platform was a big success and the metrics exceeded expectations. Overall, 17,866,020 total points were earned and the platform saw 368,423 total engagements.
Sessions
Insight 2020 truly had something for everyone and the metrics after the event were astounding. There were 2,876 Hands-on-labs with 1,466 unique users, and 77% of attendees reported that they were highly likely to share something they had learned.
